California passes privacy bill for victims of sexual assault

The California Senate has passed a pair of privacy bills relating to the confidentiality of sexual assault and domestic abuse victims, but lawmakers have yet to address a number of proposed amendments to the impending California Consumer Privacy Act as the deadline for changing that legislation looms.
