Hayley Curry is a member of Morrison & Foerster’s market-leading privacy and data security team, based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Ms Curry helps clients across industries craft global privacy compliance strategies and data security solutions. She also has substantial experience counseling on privacy and data security issues in mergers and acquisitions and other transactions. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, she was a captain in the US army and served as an Associate Deputy General Counsel in the US Department of Defense (DoD), where she focused on privacy, data security, regulatory compliance and litigation. While at DoD, Ms Curry was significantly involved in the development of numerous programmes designed to prevent insider threats, network intrusions and the disclosure of national security information. She was also actively engaged in a variety of high-level initiatives involving emerging technologies, including the internet of things (IoT), big data and behavioural analytics. Ms Curry is accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the US private sector (CIPP/US) and public sector (CIPP/G).
