[email protected]Rosa María is an intellectual property and privacy and data protection attorney, partner of Axkati Legal SC (Mexico) where she heads the privacy and data protection practice. She has advised national and international clients on a wide range of privacy and data protection issues, from due diligence, drafting all sorts of legal documents, up to implementing comprehensive privacy programmes. She has participated as a speaker in different conferences and seminars, including the Privacy Summit and Privacy Academy of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Forum on International Privacy Law.
Who’s Who Legal: Mexico 2015 refers to Rosa as ‘a fantastic data protection and privacy lawyer. Her peers regard her as one of the most savvy and knowledgeable practitioners in the market.’ Rosa Maria graduated with honours from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). In 2006, she received an LLM degree from the George Washington University, Law School. Since 2012, she has been a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Rosa Maria is a member of the IAPP, where she has also served as managing director for Latin America since December of 2015.
