Pinheiro Neto

André Giacchetta, José Machado, Raphael de Cunto and Larissa Galimberti lead the data practice at Pinheiro Neto. Giacchetta, Machado and de Cunto were heavily involved in opening a Silicon Valley office in 2018, while the firm recently hired Marcel Leonardi as counsel after an eight-year stint as Google Brazil’s policy head. Leonardi played a key role in negotiations asurrounding the drafting of the LGPD and previously ran his own law firm for over a decade before joining Google. 

Pinheiro Neto represents several high-profile companies such as Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon and Apple for transactions and litigation. Pinheiro Neto is currently assisting Uber with a public prosecutors’ investigation into a 2017 data breach, and also represented Yahoo! in lawsuits regarding a data breach. Amazon relied on the firm to help it launch products in the country.
