Pinsent Masons MPillay

Pinsent Masons’ Singaporean data practice, led by Bryan Tan, plays a key role in the firm’s work worldwide. In one recent highlight, the firm helped an insurance company respond to a targeted ransomware attack, working with colleagues in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and the US. This involved coordinating legal, PR, IT forensics and credit monitoring services, and responding to regulatory queries spanning multiple jurisdictions. The firm also advised an enterprise software manufacturer on its contractual obligations after a customer discovered a critical vulnerability, and worked on GDPR compliance for the Asian operations of a multinational outsourcing company

The practice includes a mix of disputes and transactional lawyers and provides a range of pre-breach advisory work such as audits and cyber simulations, as well as breach response, regulatory investigations and litigation.
