I lead the global team responsible for ensuring compliance with all privacy and data-related laws and regulations, including the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and Brazil’s General Data Protection Act. In practice, we work closely with business and technical teams to incorporate the strictest standards of privacy and data protection into the design of our products, services and technology throughout their life cycle.

It is exciting to participate in the design and launch of strategic data-driven innovations, while making sure that individuals’ privacy and human rights are fully respected. In addition, privacy and data protection involves political, economic, technological and societal considerations. Being part of that journey is priceless!

After having worked for five years in privacy practice, I was ready for a change and to get closer to the business.

The legal and regulatory landscape is evolving quickly. We see new privacy and data protection laws emerging all over the globe.

At Mastercard we believe that privacy and innovation go hand-in-hand, and we place the individual at the centre of our product innovation process.
