At times as a young female lawyer, I was underestimated and felt like I had to work harder than my male peers to prove myself. I think it helped motivate me to carve a pathway in a new area of practice for more female lawyers to follow.
Building a successful data, privacy and security practice from the ground up has been both challenging and rewarding. Early success in an emerging field also has led to opportunities to represent significant clients dealing with difficult data privacy and security issues. Currently, I have the privilege of leading King & Spalding’s team defending Equifax in matters arising out of its 2017 cyberattack.
I continue to focus on the growing scrutiny that corporate boards and the C-suite face in protecting against cyberattacks. I also am closely following the rapid evolution of global privacy regulations.
